Mountain View School District Foundation

 The Community Foundation manages the following scholarships for your school district.  

Cindi Conaty Memorial Scholarship Fund

Established by Susquehanna County President Judge, Jason Legg, in honor of his mother to provide a college or post-secondary degree program scholarship for a student from one of the six Susquehanna County high school districts.

 

Cody Albert Memorial Scholarship Fund

Established by Dale and Linda Albert in memory of their son Cody to provide a college scholarship to students from Susquehanna County who will major in the Visual Arts, Psychology, or Physical Therapy and who have overcome anxiety, depression, or other adversity.

 

Fiske Educational Scholarship Endowment Fund

Established by the Harford High School Alumni Association, to provide a scholarship to a Mt. View student in good standing that will matriculate to an accredited post-secondary program.

 

Gil Depew Memorial Scholarship Fund

Established by the family of Mr. Depew to provide a college scholarship for a diabetic student from one of the six Susquehanna County high schools.

 

Glenwood Stone Robert Klenk Memorial Scholarship Fund 

Established by the Cecil Kilmer family in memory of respected long-time Mountain View School District teacher and administrator Robert Klenk.  Provides college tuition assistance to a student will major in education and the teaching profession.

 

Jack Brainard Memorial Scholarship Fund

Established by the family of Jack Brainard to assist a graduate of Mountain View High School who will attend college or a post-secondary degree program to major in art or music.  

 

James Zick Memorial Community Service Scholarship Fund

Established by the family of Mr. Zick, a long-time School Board Member of Mountain View School District, among other civic activities, to honor his passion for education and community service.  Provides assistance to a Mountain View student who has exhibited civic involvement.

 

Joan O. Peters Memorial Scholarship Fund

Established by the family, friends, and former students of Joan Peters, a long-time respected teacher in the Mountain View School District. This scholarship will be awarded to a Mt. View senior enrolled in a post-secondary degree program.  

 

John J. and Ann Vitale Scholarship Fund

Available to alumni from the six school districts in Susquehanna County who will enter their final year of college or graduate school and who have incurred student debt.

 

Kingsley Civic Club Scholarship Fund

Established by the Kingsley Civic Club to provide three annual college scholarships to Mountain View High School graduates who have maintained a 3.0 GPA in a college preparatory curriculum.  

 

Margaret Stone Music Scholarship Endowment

Established by Mrs. Stone, Houghton College class of '45, to assist a music major attending her alma mater.

 

Matthew Van Fleet Memorial Automotive Scholarship Fund

Established by Matthew's parents and his sister in memory of Matt who passed away in an automobile accident.  The scholarship provides assistance to a student who will study automotive technology. The scholarship is available to students from all the school districts in Susquehanna and Wyoming Counties.

 

Meshoppen Creek Fund

Established by Reverend Paul Carlson and his late wife Myrtle to provide assistance to a graduating high school Senior from Susquehanna County, Pennsylvania or Pinellas County, Florida who exhibits exceptional promise for their future and who writes a winning essay about their greatest accomplishment in life so far.

 

Montrose Area Chamber of Commerce Pauline MacNeal Memorial Scholarship Fund

Established to honor past Chamber member Mrs. Pauline MacNeal. Provides college tuition assistance to graduating seniors from the high schools in Susquehanna County, as well as home schooled or cyber schooled students, who reside in Susquehanna County and will major in a business related field.

 

Montrose Business and Professional Women's Scholarship Fund

Provides a college scholarship to a graduate of a Susquehanna County high school who will further his or her education in preparation for entering the business or health care professions, or to an adult seeking further education.

 

Mountain View School District Alumni Association Scholarship Fund

Provides a college scholarship to a Mountain View student in good standing who will matriculate at college or a post-secondary degree program.

 

Norman Maza Memorial Scholarship Fund

Presented to a diligent student who has exhibited integrity and good citizenship, and who has brought honor and joy to the community of teachers and learners that is Mountain View.

 

R.E.S.C.U.E. Benjamin B. Stone Memorial Scholarship Fund

Established by the environmental organization "Return Susquehanna County Under Ecology" to recognize Benjamin Stone. Two college scholarships are awarded each year and are available to Seniors from all of the High Schools in Susquehanna County and from Honesdale, Wallenpaupack Area, and Western Wayne High Schools in Wayne County.   

 

Robert W. Klenk Scholarship Fund

Established by the Mountain View School District Alumni Association in honor of Mr. Klenk, a long-time teacher and principal of the District. Provides a scholarship to a graduate who will attend college to pursue a degree in education.  

 

Susquehanna County Christmas Basketball Tournament Scholarship Fund

Established by the school districts in Susquehanna County to provide college scholarships to students from the teams that participate in the Annual Susquehanna County Christmas Basketball Tournament every December.
