Kurosky Memorial Scholarship Established

Eleanor A. KuroskyThe Community Foundation of the Endless Mountains, a division of Commonwealth Charitable Management headquartered in Montrose, is pleased to announce the recent formation of the Eleanor A. Kurosky Memorial Scholarship. The college scholarship will be awarded to a Montrose Area High School graduating Senior who will major in mathematics or accounting. Eleanor considered herself a proud member of the 1949 Montrose High School graduating class, and this permanent scholarship is a fitting tribute to her that will benefit future generations of Montrose students who share her interests. She was also a long-time member of the Susquehanna County Republican Women where she was awarded the Jack Masters Lifetime Achievement Award. This new scholarship will help continue Eleanor’s legacy of community service for many years to come. Donations to the Eleanor A. Kurosky Memorial Scholarship are always welcome to help serve future Montrose Area students and can be sent to The Community Foundation at 270 Lake Avenue in Montrose, PA 18801, or made online at
