John Torrey Hawkins & Evelyn Lutz Hawkins Memorial Fund
About the fund
Established by the family and friends of John “Jack” and Evelyn “Chips” Hawkins of Montrose to benefit the Endless Mountains Health Systems which had been of great assistance to them in their later years.
From the Donor:
Chips and Jack Hawkins both grew up in the Scranton and Waverly area. They lived in various locations of the country as Jack pursued a career in television news broadcasting, including Nashville and Honolulu. Upon retirement they settled close to Chips’ sister, Shirley Quigg, in Montrose and Jack assumed the responsibility of managing the Montrose Movie Theater. This endowment in their memory is intended to provide support to the Endless Mountains Health System whose doctors and staff provided assistance that Chips and Jack appreciated in their later years.
