Barry Robinson Memorial Scholarship

Established by the family and friends of Mr. Robinson to provide tuition assistance for a graduating Tunkhannock Area High School senior from the wrestling or track and field teams who will matriculate at college or a post-secondary degree program.

Mid-November to Mid-March

Barry Robinson was a 1975 graduate of Tunkhannock where he participated in the wrestling program as well as Track & Field as a pole vaulter.

In later years, Barry would return to coach and/or assist at the junior high level for wrestling and help train the pole vault for track & field for Tunkhannock. He helped with wrestlers that were participating in AAU wrestling events throughout the years.

Barry had a passion for helping athletes at Tunkhannock and even traveled to help a Benton Area wrestler when a family friend who wrestled, moved from Tunkhannock to Benton.

Barry also coached at the Little League level in Lake Winola for a time. So it is safe to say that he was a positive figure for many young folks over the years by assisting, coaching, and advising where and when he could.
