True Friends Animal Welfare Center is a 501(c)3, nonprofit organization founded in June 2011. Since then, the shelter has increased community involvement through fund raising, volunteers, events, and outreach programs.
In the past twelve years, our local shelter in the heart of Montrose, PA, has saved over 6,000 animals thus far. Our dedicated staff cares for up to 95 dogs and cats at full capacity. These animals had nowhere else to turn and have found a safe and caring environment at True Friends. Many have never known a place so comfortable and full of love. As a committed, no kill shelter they will reside at our facility until each one is placed in a loving home which they undeniably deserve.
