About the fund
Established by True Friends Animal Welfare Center, located in Montrose. To assist with its operating and administrative expenses.
From the Donor:
“Giving Animals a Safe Refuge & Hope for a Second Chance.”
True Friends Animal Welfare Center is a 501c3, non-profit organization founded in June 2011. Since then True Friends has increased community involvement through fundraising, volunteers, and community outreach programs.
In the past 10 years, our local shelter in the heart of Montrose, PA has saved nearly 6,000 animals thus far. Presently our dedicated staff cares for over 120 dogs and cats that presently call True Friends home. Many have never known a place so comfortable and full of love. As a committed no-kill shelter, they will also reside at True Friends until they find the home each of them undeniably deserves.
As space is available, our local shelter also helps overwhelmed shelters forced to euthanize to make space and have taken in hundreds of dogs over the years from over-crowded shelters from PA, NY, NJ and southern states. We believe every life is worth saving and will do everything we can to make a difference for homeless animals in desperate need.
